Growing Mint

Posted on

Two months ago

If you’ve ever grown mint successfully you’ll know that mint needs shade and damp to flourish. My great-grandparents used to grow mint under the dripping tap of the backyard water tank. Cuttings from that mint are still growing in my parents and grandparents backyard. I’ve yet to procure some cuttings from the family mint and so this little plant came from a local nursery. It’s been sitting under the backyard tap for the last two months. The tap leaks when it is turned on so the mint is regularly watered and it only gets filtered light for most of the day. You can see how well it is flourishing in this spot. Anyone for mint tea?
